ALGER, Wash. — Few drivers have been as hot as Jesse Schlotfeldt at Skagit Speedway in the past 30 days and on Friday night, the fantastic results continued.
Schlotfeldt took home the win in the preliminary night feature for the Fred Brownfield 360 Nationals presented by Bob’s Burgers & Brew featuring round six of the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour Western Sprint Tour Speedweek.
Levi Klatt led the field to green and held the top spot for the first 23 laps of the main before Schlotfeldt found his way passed Levi in slower traffic.
Schlotfeldt had found a line around Skagit Speedway that maximized his speed, diamonding off the corner in three and running down the hill to create incredible drive down the front straight away.
After taking the top spot, Schlotfeldt survived a green-white-checkered restart to score the win and earn the top point scoring night and the lead spot for Saturday’s pole shuffle.
Klatt was second, fending off Seth Bergman for second place after trading slidejobs over the final two laps. Split qualifying fast time went to Aydan Saunders and Trey Starks.
Steve Peters won the preliminary night feature for the K Pro Auto Hornet Nationals.
