Mallett Teams With Rains For 50-Race Schedule

GREENBRIER, Ark. — Jordon Mallett is eager to tackle a new opportunity.

Mallett has been selected to pilot A.G. Rains’ No. 3 winged sprint car for the 2026 season, which features a schedule of 50-plus races across the Mid-South and Southeastern region of the country.

“Last year was different and really I’m looking forward to the opportunity to drive for someone, especially someone as established as A.G.,” Mallett said. “He asked me to drive for him at the end of 2024 for two weekends and I felt like we were really successful right off the bat together. We gelled quickly and we were in contention. We had one slip away at a $10,000-to-win show. For as early as we were in our relationship then, if you give us some time we’ll become a threat. He has his program where he likes it and I feel I adapted to it really quickly so with some time we can be a consistent contender.”

Mallett produced a pair of second-place finishes and three top 10s during four main event starts with Rains in October 2024. This year’s partnership is scheduled to kick off Feb. 13-14 at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., with the USCS Series.

“We’ll be starting in a couple of weeks with the USCS Series in Florida,” Mallett said. “The first off weekend we really have scheduled is at the end of March. Weather will play into all of that, but once we get fired off there aren’t a lot of breaks. We’re pretty aggressive right now. We have more than 50 races booked. We’re not following any points or anything like that. We’re just racing to race. We’ll be around all of the Southeastern part of the country.

“The goals are really simple. We’re setting out to win races. We want to put ourselves in contention each night. If we can put ourselves in contention the wins will come. The biggest thing is putting ourselves in a good spot every time we roll out of the trailer and being prepared to capitalize whenever we are in those situations.”
