ROSSBURG, Ohio — On the day before the highest-paying sprint car race in history, one of the country’s most successful sprint car racers has left his family-owned ride.
Anthony Macri has stepped out of the Macri Motorsports No. 39m and the team has announced that Hall of Famer Lance Dewease will drive the car during the Eldora Million events at Eldora Speedway beginning Wednesday.

Macri led the nation in victories last season and has picked up eight 410 winged sprint car triumphs this year and was crowned PA Speedweek champion.
While details are unknown at this point, if Macri is seeking another ride, the 24-year-old Dillsburg, Pa., native would be a hotly pursued driver.
