TULSA, Okla. — Wrapping up 209 FuelTech Heat Races through the first two days of the 41st annual Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink, the stage is set to see who can climb up the ladder and fight their way into the chase to the Golden Driller.
Kicking off 2026 with Joe’s Racing Products Stock Non-Wing alphabet features, the soup begins with F Features for the first time in event history. Starting with Race No. 210, the run into the C Features will end at Race No. 241 before moving into Qualifiers for all divisions to determine the Top 16 in passing points to lock into Saturday night.
From there, the alphabet continues with Sawyer Chassis Outlaw D and C-Mains, to take the event through Race No. 303.
Looking at the heat races that have been run, Tanner Thorson, Jett Yantis and Daison Pursley have made the charge from 10th to first, with 31 drivers winning from at least the fifth starting spot.
Seven drivers have at least three heat race wins, with 28 grabbing a pair of wins. The average starting spot among all six divisions for a heat race winner is 2.5.
