Clem Parks It At Hendry County

CLEWISTON, Fla. — If you like your racing polite, Hendry County wasn’t your scene on Saturday night.

Eighteen 360 winged warriors rolled into Hendry County Motorsports Park, and from the second the green flag snapped, it turned into a bare-knuckle brawl on clay.

Up front, it was game on early between P.J. Reutimann and Tyler Clem — two heavy hitters trading shots, sliders, and inches like neither one planned on lifting. The cushion was the playground, the bottom was a gamble, and the air was thick with dirt and bad intentions.

Clem, starting third, kept his cool while chaos brewed behind him.

When it mattered, he pulled the trigger, took control, and never looked back — parking it in victory lane and backing up his fast time from earlier in the night.

While Clem sealed the deal up front, Jacksonville Beach’s Matt Kurtz went full send through the field.

Starting 13th, Kurtz picked them off one by one like a man on a mission, charging to a hard-earned second and the biggest mover of the night.

Reutimann stayed in the fight all race long, but after that early slugfest, he had to settle for third.

Austin Martin and Luke Hill rounded out the top five, both steady, both fast, both right there when it counted.

The finish:

Feature: 1. 6S-Tyler Clem[3]; 2. 20-Matt Kurtz[13]; 3. 00-PJ Reutimann[2]; 4. 27-Austin Martin[6]; 5. 41-Luke Hill[4]; 6. 10X-Joel Charles[1]; 7. 5K-Stephen Darvalics[5]; 8. 9D-Steve Diamond Jr[12]; 9. 50-Joe Zuczek[8]; 10. 68C-Katlyn Calhoun[17]; 11. 3D-Donald Quinn[14]; 12. (DNF) G6-Brandon Grubaugh[18]; 13. (DNF) 44C-Cheyenne Potter[11]; 14. (DNF) 10SR-Paul
