ALGER, Wash. — On a night where Skagit Speedway enshrined three new members to its Hall of Fame, Trey Starks furthered his future Hall of Fame résumé by taking his 20th win in Hill’s Meat Company 410 action in his career.
Starks followed a familiar pattern that he’s set in previous races by jetting out to an early lead and keeping it throughout the race. Starks would lead all 30 laps, enjoying a lead over four seconds for most of the way in taking the $5,500 top prize.
Jason Solwold was second while Tyler Thompson fought hard to take home third.
Nate Vaughn put on one of the most impressive drives of the year in the Sportsman Sprint division. Starting 12th on the field, Vaughn planted his car in the moisture around the bottom of the track and worked his way into the lead by lap 13 and into victory lane thereafter for his first career Sportsman Sprint victory.
David Greene made a late race charge around the top to take second while Macie Logsdon was third.
Alex Peck brought the Inlaws Racing midget to victory lane again at Skagit Speedway on Saturday night. Peck passed Ashley Thompson on lap nine for the top spot and kept a comfortable lead the rest of the way in driving to the win. Thompson scored second with Shane Smith taking third.
