TULSA, Okla. — Whitz R/C Racing Products has announced its return to the Chili Bowl Nationals with longtime partner Casey Shuman, marking the duo’s sixth race together and celebrating a five-year partnership.
This year carries special meaning. In collaboration with Whitz Racing, Shuman will debut a striking throwback paint scheme — a modern recreation of the historic Ofixco 21x orange and black sprint car campaigned across the United States by Casey’s father, legendary racer Ron Shuman, throughout the 1980s.
Together, Whitz Racing and Casey meticulously created the No. 21x Whitz Racing Special, honoring the heritage and spirit of the iconic Ofixco Racing Special while showcasing today’s craftsmanship.
“Racing the Chili Bowl with Whitz for the sixth time is really special to me,” said Casey Shuman. “They’ve believed in me from day one, and being able to bring back such an important part of my dad’s history — in front of the best fans in dirt racing — makes this year unforgettable. Whitz isn’t just a sponsor; they’re true partners and friends.”
Over the past five years, Shuman has become a standout brand ambassador for Whitz R/C Racing Products, representing the brand’s values both at the track and within the R/C racing community. His professionalism, accessibility, and passion have helped connect real-world motorsports fans with the precision engineering behind Whitz performance products.
“We’re honored to continue our journey with Casey,” said Clu Connors, Whitz R/C Racing Products. “This partnership has always been about shared respect and love for racing — and the throwback 21x tribute captures that perfectly. Paying homage to Ron Shuman’s legacy while competing on one of the biggest stages in dirt racing is something we’re incredibly proud to be part of.”
Shuman and the No. 21x hit the track on Friday night at Tulsa Expo Raceway.
