The second full-length national tour schedule for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota saw Cannon McIntosh earn the championship.
In clinching his first national midget championship, McIntosh became the first Oklahoma driver to win the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series title.
At 21 years of age, McIntosh is now the second-youngest series champion behind Jade Avedisian (17) and ahead of Daum (30).
His first title comes as the 18th in the national midget realm for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports, and with Avedisian’s 2023 championship, team co-owners Keith Kunz and Pete Willoughby are now the first in Xtreme Outlaw Series history to top the points standings in back-to-back years.
McIntosh returned to KKM this season and was a model of discipline and consistency in 2024 — winning six features, recording zero DNFs and stringing together 18 consecutive top-five finishes in the first 18 races. He set new personal-best with the Xtreme Outlaw Series in wins (six), podiums (15) and top-five finishes (20) to clinch his first national championship, redeeming himself to sit atop the national Midget world once again.
“I feel like it’s those times where you’re down on yourself and down on your confidence that shape things like this up,” McIntosh said. “You learn a lot in those seasons. It’s really just about not giving up.”
Ryan Timms finished second in the standings after winning three features, while Chase McDermand, Ashton Torgerson and Zach Daum completed the top five.
