Morgan Masters Mississippi Sprints

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Shane Morgan raced from outside the front row to win Friday night’s third annual USCS Mississippi Sprint Car Championship Race at Hattiesburg Speedway.

Morgan took the lead on the opening lap and never relinquished it en route to his third career USCS victory.

Brandon Blendon in his best USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour performance chased the eventual winner from two to three car lengthsback the entire distance but had to settle for the runner-up spot. 

Blendon also had to hold off 13-time USCS champion Terry Gray, who finished third.

Ryan Harrison, who traveled across the Atlantic Ocean from England to compete with the USCS series for five races over two weekends, finished in fourth place. Butch David rounded out the top five.
