PETALUMA, Calif. — The producers of the popular Formula Ford Crossflow Cup Series have announced the launch of the new A2V Series for the 2026 Season.
The five-race inaugural series, which kicks off at the CSRG David Love Vintage Races at Sonoma Raceway on April 17-19, will continue the legacy of the Masters Atlantic Plus Formula Series with events that offer a place for four classes of cars (Flat bottom Atlantic and Tunneled Atlantic, SuperVee and Formula 2) to race together, while drivers compete for separate class points and awards.
“We developed the idea for the A2V Series at the end of the 2024 season and we’re so excited to bring it to life this year,” said Rebecca Shippert who ran the Crossflow Cup for five seasons with her husband, Ethan. “The initial energy and excitement around the series has given us such great momentum headed into this inaugural year. We’re excited to welcome new members for wonderful experiences on and off the track.”
The series will offer points and awards for competitors across four classes, including: Flat Bottom Atlantic, Tunneled Atlantic, SuperVee and Formula 2, and all cars will be prepared to period-correct, as-raced standards from 1970-1986. In addition to Sonoma, the series will visit Pacific Raceways, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Road America and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
A2V is supported by Nova Motorsport, the parent company of Avon tires. Nova will provide on-site support at all events, as well as a voucher to give away one set of tires each weekend to one entrant.
