WEEDSPORT, N.Y. — The new year is here and Weedsport Speedway is ready to celebrate with the official release of its 2026 schedule, featuring nine events from May through September.
The unique schedule, which includes everything from DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds and American Big Rigs to Sprint Cars and an All-American Rodeo, will begin on Sunday, May 3 with the Icebreaker 50.
“We’re excited to present this year’s schedule,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “I think we were able to build something unique and diverse while also maintaining our staple annual events. The addition of the American Big Rig Series and the All-American Rodeo to the calendar are fun additions that we believe will open Weedsport to several new eyes this coming season.”
The speedway’s lid lifter on May 3 will see DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman, as well as the Empire Street Stocks on the racing card.
The annual Heroes Remembered special returns on Sunday, May 24 to close out the month of May with the first of three stops for the Super DIRTcar Series. Joining the cars and stars of the Super DIRTcar Series will be the CRSA 305 Sprint Cars and another visit for the DIRTcar Sportsman.
CNY Speedweek for the Empire Super Sprints will kick-off at Weedsport in 2026, with their first stop of the week coming at The Port on Tuesday, June 30. Weedsport’s independence week special will offer a one-two punch, as the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series will pair with the 360 sprint cars capped off by a gigantic fireworks display.
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars will highlight the month of July, as the Empire State Challenge returns to a two-day format this season. The Outlaws and the DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds will take on Weedsport on July 25-26, with a $20,000 to win Outlaws finale to close the weekend.
A first in Weedsport Speedway’s history will take place on Sunday, August 1 as the All-American Rodeo comes to town for the Port City Stampede. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association will be featured throughout the day, competing in a series of roughstock and timed events.
Super DIRTcar Series SummerFAST will again take the green flag at Weedsport for a week of action in 2026. The Hall of Fame 100 will open four consecutive days of racing for the series on Sunday, August 16. The Big Blocks will be joined by the DIRTcar Sportsman, as well as the Mod Lites.
Less than a month later the Super DIRTcar Series will invade Weedsport for the third time with the running of the Cavalcade Cup 100 on Sunday, September 6. The speedway’s final Modified event of the season will also see the DIRTcar Sportsman Classic 75 for the DIRTcar Sportsman Series and the Hoosier 600 Microsprint Tour.
Weedsport’s diverse schedule will close in a big way on Friday, September 18 as the American Big Rig Series comes to town for the Page Trucking Big Rig Nationals. A companion division for this special night of racing will be announced at a later date.
