Friesen Flies In Fonda Thruway Run

FONDA, N.Y. — Stewart Friesen was back in victory lane Saturday night at Fonda Speedway.

Friesen captured the Dave Lap Memorial main event for the Thunder on the Thruway Modified Series for his second victory of the season. It was his 87th career victory at Fonda.

Matt DeLorenzo led the first 21 laps, but Friesen soared into the lead on lap 22 and led the remainder of the 30-lap event.

DeLorenzo finished second, with Demetrious Drellos, Jack Lehner and Rocky Warner rounding out the top five.

Peyton Talbot won the crate 602 sportsman feature and Beau Ballard topped the pro stock main event.

Jonathan Feagles was first to the line in the limited sportsman run.
