Ransomville SDS Pushes To Thursday

RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. — With heavy rain arriving at Ransomville Speedway just before the start of Wednesday’s Super DIRTcar Series Feature, the Summer Nationals 75-lap event was postponed to Thursday, Aug. 25.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. (ET) with Hot Lap starting at 7:30 p.m. and the Super DIRTcar Series Feature projected to start at 8pm – followed by the DIRTcar Sportsman Feature.

Mother Nature held off long enough for heat races and the redraw to be completed. Stewart Friesen won a hard-fought battle with Matt Sheppard to take the win in the first heat race. Then, Ransomville-native Erick Rudolph held off the competition to claim the second heat. In heat three, Mat Williamson took the victory, continuing his momentum gain from last week’s SummerFAST events. Finally, Chad Brachmann closed out the heat race action by winning the fourth heat

Pete Bicknell, Alex Payne, JF Corriveau and Allan Willis were able to transfer into the feature through the Last Chance Showdowns.
