Pierce Gets No. 28 In Mississippi

COLUMBUS, Miss. — Bobby Pierce picked up his 28th dirt late model victory of the season Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

With the Knoxville Late Model Nationals rained out, Pierce headed to Mississippi and promptly won the 23rd annual Cotton Pickin’ 100.

Starting from the pole, Pierce was never seriously challenged during the 60-lap run to the $20,000 winners purse.

Spencer Hughes raced from eighth to finish second.

Tyler Erb, Billy Moyer and Trey Mills completed the top five.
