Peterson Stops Moyer In Early Thaw

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Tyler Peterson ended Billy Moyer’s reign in victory lane on night three of the Ernie Mincy Early Thaw at Central Arizona Raceway.

Peterson raced from fifth starting spot to win the 35-lap IMCA late model feature, holding off Moyer, who started 10th and was looking for his third consecutive victory in the event.

Ricky Weiss finished third, with Clayton Stuckey and Michael Leach rounding out the top five.

Chaz Baca continued his January hot streak with his second victory in as many nights in the IMCA modified division. Baca started seventh and won the 20-lap event ahead of 10th-starter Tom Berry Jr.

Tim Ward, Kollin Hibdon and Jeff Larson completed the top five.

Bo Partain claimed the stock car feature and Lucas Rodin won the limited modified main event.

Cam Reimers bested the sportmod class.
