Overton Bags $21,000 Tazewell Prize

TAZEWELL, Tenn. — Brandon Overton overtook early leader Kaede Loudy on lap 24 and led the remainder of the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial Saturday at Tazewell Speedway.

Overton secured his first race title and the $21,000 payday over runner-up Loudy in the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event, which was the finale of a three-day Easter weekend card for the traveling late model series.

Thursday winner Dale McDowell was third, with Friday victor Hudson O’Neal fourth. Mike Marlar completed the top five.

Apparent runner-up Sam Seawright failed the post-race droop check due to a part failure.  He was scored in the 19th finishing position.
