MEMPHIS, Mo. — Dylan Thornton raced from fifth starting spot to win Friday night’s Malvern Bank East Series late model opener at Scotland County Speedway.
Thornton took the lead from Chad Simpson on lap 12 and paced the remainder of the 30-lap event to win $3,000.
Simpson finished second, with Dallon Murty, Jesse Sobbing and Jake Neal completing the top five.
