MOUNT VERNON, Ky. — Garrett Smith won Friday night’s Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals late model event at Rockcastle Speedway.
Smith battled Sam Seawright at the front of the field until Seawright crashed on lap 33. From there, he sailed scot-free to the $7,553 payday in the Finn Watson Memorial.
Cory Hedgecock finished second, with Jimmy Owens, Luke Morey and Ricky Weiss completing the top five.
