BURNSIDE, Ky. — Jimmy Owens ended a 15-month winless stretch with a victory in Saturday night’s Johnny Wheeler Memorial at Lake Cumberland Speedway.
Owens took the lead on lap 36 and led the remainder of the way to win the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals main event, which paid $10,053.
Friday night winner Garrett Smith finished second, while Justin Rattliff, Ricky Weiss and Jensen Ford completed the top five.
