CASA GRAND, Ariz. — Dylan Thornton copped his second consecutive IMCA late model triumph on the final night of the Ernie Mincy Early Thaw at Central Arizona Raceway.
Unlike Friday night’s victory from the front row, Thornton put on a show en route to victory lane. He started his No. 38t machine 13th on the grid and steadily worked his way to the front to win the 30-lap series finale.
Tyler Peterson finished second, with Ricky Weiss, Rob Mayea and Justin Kay rounding out the top five.
Eston Whisler romped from fifth on the grid to bag his first IMCA modified triumph of the week, holding off Chaz Baca for the victory. Bryson Yeager, Braxton Yeager and Mike Wedelstadt completed the top five.
Shelby Williams held off Kaden Woodie to claim the stock car main event and Ryan Peery won the SportMod feature.
Rob Moseley raced from fifth to win the limited modified feature. James Trantina III aced the super stock feature.
