Gustin Grabs Ice Bowl Glory

EASTABOGA, Ala. — Ryan Gustin led the final 29 laps to win the 33rd annual Ice Bowl super late model feature Saturday evening at the Talladega Short Track.

Gustin, who started fourth, grabbed the lead from Christian Hanger on lap 22, and pulled away to earn the $7,500 top prize.

Oakley Johns romped from ninth starting spot to finish second, while Hanger came home third.

Ray Cook and Sam Seawright completed the top five.

Will Roland led all 40 laps to win the Crate Racin USA feature during the Ice Bowl card, holding off Tyler Millwood for the $4,000 victory.

Booger Brooks won the modified feature and Jordan Phillips topped the factory stock main event. Logan McVey came home first in the hot shot feature.
