Hirschman Wins Ninth North-South Shootout

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Matt Hirschman continued his domination of big-money events on the tour-type modified circuit Saturday evening at Caraway Speedway.

Hirschman held off Patrick Emerling to win the 21st annual North-South Shootout at the third-mile asphalt track.

It was the ninth time Hirschman has won the event that was originally run at Concord Speedway.

It was the third straight year that Hirschman has won the 125-lap event, earning $10,000.

Emerling finished second, with Andy Seuss, Gary Putnam and Austin Kochenash rounding out the top five.
