Patience and experience helped Tate Fogleman survive a chaotic main event and win round two of the IHRA Stock Car Series Saturday night at Cordele Motor Speedway.
Fogleman captured the 125-lap limited sportsman main event, while Casey Roderick prevailed in the companion pro late model race.
Fogleman was far from the dominant driver at the three-eighths-mile short track. He qualified 19th in the 27-car field and steadily made his way to the front during a race that was slowed by 14 caution flags.
Fogleman’s patient run to the front was rewarded when he passed Kade Brown for the lead on the final circuit to bag the $10,000 top prize.
Brown finished second in the event that aired LIVE on SPEED SPORT 1. Watch the entire IHRA Stock Car Series FREE on SPEED SPORT 1. Click HERE for schedule and details on how to get SPEED SPORT 1.
