The debut of a new racing series is certainly a pressure-filled situation for everyone involved, but the inaugural IHRA Stock Car Series event more than lived up to its billing Saturday at Virginia’s Pulaski County Motorsports Park.
Nearly 60 cars in two classes showed up for the IHRA 225 at the four-tenths-mile race track. Kyle Dudley led all 125 laps for the headlining Limited Sportsman division and banked an impressive$25,000 for his efforts. Dudley held off a late-race charge from Coy Beard to get to the checkeredflag first.
Meanwhile, Brandon Carr earned a $16,000 payday for beating Nick Loden to the checkered flag in the 100-lap pro late model feature.
The event was broadcast live on SPEED SPORT 1 and IHRA.TV. An encore will air Sunday, March 29th. Click HERE for details.
