Stellar Entry List For Anderson’s Redbud 400

ANDERSON, Ind. — A who’s who of super late model racing is set for the 59th Annual CB Fabricating Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway July 26.

It is expected to be one of the deepest, most competitive fields in recent memory. Twenty-one stars from 12 states and Canada are set to converge on the quarter-mile track for one of short-track racing’s most grueling events.

Headlining the field is NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar. Hocevar counts the Redbud 400, Winchester 400 and Glass City 200 among his late model victories.

Fan favorite Bubba Pollard returns to Anderson Speedway seeking a long-awaited victory in a crown jewel event that has eluded him. His résumé includes wins in the All American 400, Oxford 250 and Slinger Nationals, but the Redbud 400 remains one of the few major races missing from his collection.

Also entered is Cole Butcher, the Canadian star who continues to make waves in the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour. Driving for Wilson Motorsports, Butcher has consistently run at the front of the field this season and already has three victories under his belt. He also is a former winner of the Redbud 400. Expect Butcher to be a serious threat on Saturday night.

Florida’s Stephen Nasse returns to Anderson on Saturday. Nasse is always a contender in the nation’s biggest super late model races. He’s a two-time winner of the Winchester 400 to go along with wins like the Clyde Hart Memorial, All American 400 and FL Governor’s Cup.

Derek Thorn, the California standout, will look to make his Redbud 400 debut on Saturday night. Thorn is a multi-time SRL Southwest Tour champion and a former winner of the Snowball Derby.

Defending race winner Kyle Steckly is another driver to watch. Steckly has quickly established himself as a rising talent in ASA STARS National Tour competition. In Canada, he’s the driver to beat as he’s the two-time and defending champion of the APC United Late Model Tour.

Hometown fans will have their eyes on Dakoda Armstrong, a native of nearby New Castle, Ind. Armstrong brings a blend of local knowledge and national experience, having competed in the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series ranks as well as in a sprint car at Anderson Speedway.

Other notable drivers entered include Chase Burda, Dawson Sutton, Austin Nason, Derek Kraus, Carson Brown, Gavan Boschele, George Phillips, Chase Pinsonneault, Kole Raz, Billy VanMeter, Dylan Bates, Steven Ulman, Gabrielle Grigsby and Ryder Van Alst.
