McKee Claims Throwback Classic Pole

HICKORY, N.C. — Teenager Tristan McKee won the pole for Saturday night’s Throwback Classic CARS Tour race at Hickory Motor Speedway during qualifying on Friday night.

McKee turned a fast lap of 14.744 seconds to earn the top starting spot for the 125-lap, $50,000-to-win late model stock car race at the third-mile race track.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Layne Riggs will start second, with Landen Lewis, Kaden Honeycutt and Carson Loftin completing the top five.
