It’s Keelan Harvick In Early Morning Snowflake 100

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Keelan Harvick became the youngest winner of the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway.

Harvick, who is 13 years, 4 months and 29 days old, took the checkered flag in the rain-delayed pro late model classic shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Harvick took the lead from fellow teenager Tristan McKee with 24 laps remaining and led the rest of the way to win the 125-lap event on the half-mile track.

The son of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick started his familiar No. 62 machine 15th on the grid and steadily soldiered toward the front.

“Me and my dad rewatched the last Snowflake from last year,” the younger Harvick said in victory lane. “We just saw everybody coming off [the corners] low and straight. That’s what I did, and it worked out.

“It’s really cool to share it with these group of guys. They put so much work in it. It’s really cool to bring this one back.”

McKee came home second, with Craftsman Truck Series regular Kaden Honeycutt taking third.

Isaac Kitzmiller and Luke Baldwin completed the top five.
