Carson Brown Does It Again At Five Flags

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Carson Brown might want to move to the Sunshine State after he pocketed his second consecutive Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour victory.

Last month, Brown won the Clyde Hart Memorial 200 at New Smyrna to kick off the 2026 ASA STARS National Tour campaign. He then went back-to-back in the fourth running of the Sunshine State 200 at Five Flags Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Brown survived a series of restarts, including one where he lost the lead momentarily to Kyle Steckly in the final 10 laps, before reclaiming the top spot with six laps remaining.

Defending ASA STARS National Champion Cole Butcher, made a late bid for the lead in a quest to win his third-straight Sunshine State 200 in a row. Butcher had to settle for third. Jake Garcia was fourth, and Jade Avedisian was a career-best fifth.

Avedisian was the top rookie for the race for the first time this season.

Former Series champion Casey Roderick was sixth after starting 21st, rookie Tristan McKee was seventh, Chase Pensonneault, Stephen Nasse, and Spencer Davis rounded out the top 10 unofficially.

The day started with Dustin Smith (Mobile, Alabama) setting fast time to earn his first ASA STARS National Tour Hamke Race Cars Pole award. From there, Smith led the opening laps before giving way to Steckly. A long early-race run saw Steckly move away, but Smith chased him down to claim the first spot again before the stage break.
