Finley Earns $22,567 In Grandfather’s Memorial Race

OWOSSO, Mich. — The sentimental favorite to win the second annual Bob Finley Memorial, Chad Finley broke through at his home track of Owosso Speedway and scored the biggest win of his career.

Finley won the race that honors his grandfather and earned $22,567 including lap money.

The 32-year-old Michigan native took the lead from Phil Bozell on lap 51 after a ferocious battle.

Finley fought off Steve Needles to score the popular victory in front of a partisan crowd.

Needles came home second, ahead of fast-qualifier Blake Childers, who started 10th.

David McManus and 24th-starter Zack Cook completed the top five.
