THOMPSON, Conn. — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour wraps up the 2026 season this Saturday, Oct. 10 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with the running of the World Series 150.
Originally scheduled for Sunday, but moved ahead because of the Sunday forecast, it is the 16th and final race of the 2026 season.
• The World Series 150 is the 161st NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event held at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park dating back to 1985. During that time, 40 different drivers have visited victory lane at the historic facility. No track has hosted more NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events than Thompson.
• This is the first time since 2020 that the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season has ended at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The race marks the 29th time the season will conclude at the Connecticut track, which is more than any other venue in series history.
• This is the third race of the season for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Stephen Kopcik was victorious in the first race on April 12, while Matt Hirschman won the annual summer race at Thompson on Aug. 5.
• NASCAR Hall of Famer Mike Stefanik leads all drivers with 15 victories at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Justin Bonsignore is second with 14 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victories at the Connecticut oval.
• Patrick Emerling enters Saturday’s event with a 30-point advantage on Austin Beers in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour standings. All Emerling needs to do is take the green flag to win his first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship.
Emerling leads all drivers with five victories this season in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour competition. He also leads all drivers in average finish (5.8), top fives (10), top 10s (13) and laps led (659).
• Sunday’s race serves as the finale of the FloRacing Connecticut Challenge, a four-race miniseries featuring the four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events in Connecticut. The champion of the miniseries will earn $7,500.
Entering the World Series 150, Matt Hirschman leads Stephen Kopcik by nine points in the battle for the bonus money.
• Justin Bonsignore, Austin Beers and Matt Hirschman are tied for the most American Racer Pole Awards this season with four each. Other drivers to win poles this season include Patrick Emerling and Roger Turbush.
• Eric Goodale will reach a career milestone when he takes the green flag Sunday evening. The World Series 150 will be Goodale’s 250th career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour start.
