Rare Pole For Justin Allgaier At Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier won the pole for Friday night’s Food City 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Allgaier drove his JR Motorsports Chevrolet to a lap of 15.843 seconds at 121.113 mph on the .533-mile concrete oval.

It was his first pole of the season and the 11th of his career.

Sam Mayer qualified second in a Haas Factory Ford.

Aric Almirola claimed the third position in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, while point leader Connor Zilisch starts fourth in a second JR Motorsports Chevy.

JGR drivers Taylor Gray and William Sawalich will share the third row.

Completing the top 10 were Harrison Burton, Ryan Sieg, Jesse Love and Sheldon Creed.
