Custer On Pole For Xfinity Series Bout In Phoenix

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer will start on pole for Saturday’s Call 811.com Every Dig. Every Time. 200 at Phoenix Raceway.

Custer wheeled his No. 00 Ford Mustang to a fastest speed of 131.483 mph to score his 20th career pole.

Chandler Smith will start second after timing 0.127 seconds behind Custer.

Corey Heim, Custer’s teammate Riley Herbst and JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier rounded out the top-five qualifiers.

Sheldon Creed starts sixth in his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, followed by Richard Childress Racing rookie Jesse Love.

Two additional JGR Toyota’s in Aric Almirola and John Hunter Nemechek start eighth and ninth, with A.J. Allmendinger wheeling his Kaulig Racing Chevrolet to a 10th-place effort.
