Alfredo Fined $25,000 For Phoenix Xfinity Series Incident

NASCAR officials have penalized NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Anthony Alfredo following an incident during Saturday’s finale at Phoenix Raceway.

The Our Motorsports driver was fined $25,000 and docked 25 driver points for violating Sections 4.4.B of the NASCAR Rule Book. Despite the penalty, Alfredo will remain 15th in the standings.

On lap 63, Stefan Parsons and Alfredo tangled, sending Alfredo’s No. 5 Chevrolet into the outside wall. Moments later, Alfredo retaliated by right-hooking Parsons’ No. 45 Chevrolet up the track into the wall. Alfredo was penalized and held for two laps on pit road. He’d finish 36th.
