Finchum Set For Bristol Cup Series Run

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Brian King Roofing, protecting East Tennessee homes with reliable roofs since 1991, will sponsor its first NASCAR Cup Series team at the upcoming Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Chad Finchum will pilot the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Garage 66 in the April 12 event.

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Finchum will be driving his third NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol and second in the Next Gen era.

Back in 2016, he dominated the K&N Pro Series East race at this facility on his way to reaching victory lane. The 31-year-old has always run well at the 0.533-mile known as Thunder Valley.

“I’m really excited to have Brian King Roofing on board for Bristol,” said Finchum. “Racing at my home track in front of so many friends and fans from East Tennessee is always special, and it means a lot to represent a company that’s built such a strong reputation right here in our community. Bristol is a place I’ve had success at in the past, and I’m confident we can put together a solid run in the No. 66 and give everybody something to be proud of.”

Garage 66 co-owner Carl Long always looks forward to getting Chad behind the wheel of one of his race cars at Bristol.

“East Tennessee is a very important market for our race team, between our driver, my co-owners, and now bringing Brian King Roofing onboard,” said Long. “This will be the fourth consecutive Bristol race for Garage 66, allowing us to build up a decent notebook here. I am confident we can deliver a good car for Chad to take on 500 laps in Thunder Valley.”
