GLORY DAYS: Schilling Wins Big At Winchester

Don Schilling battled with teammate Doug Kalitta for 21 laps before making his way to the lead to win the USAC national midget feature that was part of the Rich Vogler Classic at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.

While Schilling held off Kalitta for the victory, Bev Griffis charged from 11th to finish third in the 25-lap event on the high-banked, half-mile race track.

Stevie Reeves and fast-qualifier Mike Streicher rounded out the top five.

Robbie Stanley claimed the sprint car feature.
