Marc Marquez Does It Again At Sachsenring

HOHENSTEIN-ERNSTTHAL, Germany — Marc Marquez passed a legend on the all-time MotoGP winners list with his latest conquest — a victory in the Liquid Moly Grand Prix of Germany at the Sachsenring.

On his 200th start, Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) earned his 69th victory, surpassing Giacomo Agostini for second on the all-time winners list.

It was Marquez’s ninth victory at the Sachsenring.

Marquez got the holeshot to start the race and was never headed en route to his seventh victory of the season.

Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), on his 100th start, strung together an impressive ride to finish second despite injury.

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) bounced back with a podium finish in a battle that saw rostrum contenders crash out at the Sachsenring.

Fabio Quartararo and Fermin Aldeguer completed the top five.

Marquez now leads his younger brother, Alex, by 83 points in the championship battle.
