Bagnaia Swipes Points Lead Back After Austrian GP Win

Francesco Bagnaia reclaimed the MotoGP points lead after winning Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix.

Bagnaia out-gunned polesitter and title rival Jorge Martin in the latter stages of the race, passing Martin on lap 14 of 28. From there, Bagnaia cruised to his seventh victory of the season.

Martin placed second, over two seconds behind Bagnaia. Enea Bastianini completed the podium in third-place.

Marc Marquez and Brad Binder completed the top-five finishers.

Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez retired from the race one lap short of the finish. His teammate, Miguel Oliveira placed 12th.

Bagnaia now has a five-point advantage over Martin in the championship standings.
