ZANDVOORT, The Netherlands — Lando Norris turned the fastest lap during both practice sessions for Sunday’s Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit.
After pacing the opening session, Norris drove his McLaren to a best lap of one minute and 9.890 seconds.
That was good enough for Norris to stave off Fernando Alonso, who was .087 seconds behind in an Aston Martin.
Norris’ teammate and Formula 1 point leader Oscar Piastri was third on the time sheets.
George Russell was fourth for Mercedes, with Max Verstappen placing his Red Bull fifth at the end of the day.
Lewis Hamilton was the fastest of the Ferrari drivers, taking sixth spot.
Lance Stroll and Alex Albon were each involved in crashes during the second session.
