BAKU CITY, Azerbaijan — Lewis Hamilton led a Ferrari 1-2 during the second practice session for Sunday’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Hamilton topping the session came as McLaren driver Lando Norris had his session shortened by a crash.
Hamilton’s 1 minute and 41.293-second lap left him 0.074 seconds clear of teammate Charles Leclerc in the final classification as the McLarens of Norris and Oscar Piastri struggled for performance throughout, finishing only 10th and 12th, respectively.
The Mercedes tandem of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli were third and fourth on the time sheets, while Oliver Bearman was fifth for Haas Racing.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen was sixth for Red Bull with Liam Lawson seventh for the Racing Bulls.
Esteban Ocon took eighth in the second Haas entry.
