Seb Murray joins Andretti Indy NXT Team

INDIANAPOLIS — Andretti Global announced that Seb Murray will join the Andretti Indy NXT driver lineup for the 2026 season, piloting the No. 27 Dream Racing Dubai Dallara.

Building on his 2025 rookie season with Andretti Cape Indy NXT, Murray is the first driver to be confirmed in the 2026 Andretti Indy NXT lineup.

The 18-year-old Scotland native recently completed his rookie Indy NXT season in August, earning two top-10 finishes and one top-five finish. Midway through the season, an on-track incident at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course sidelined Murray at the next round at Iowa Speedway after INDYCAR Medical did not clear him to compete.

The Scot returned two weeks later for the doubleheader race weekend at Laguna Seca, where he delivered a career-best weekend, qualifying eighth for both races and converting Race 2 into his first top-five finish.

Before transitioning to Indy NXT, Murray competed in the 2024 F4 UAE season, scoring a top-five finish, before quickly transitioning to the GB3 Championship a month later, making 24 starts and finishing as high as seventh.

Murray will make his debut with the Andretti INDY NXT team on Monday, October 27, at the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

The rest of the Andretti INDY NXT driver lineup will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

“I am thrilled and excited to join Andretti Global for my second year in Indy NXT,” Murray said. “I really enjoyed my debut season with Andretti Cape INDY NXT and look forward to building on the knowledge and experience I have gained during the 2025 season. Andretti Global is a proven race-winning team, and I look forward to continuing my development with them in 2026.”
