Matteo Nannini and Juncos Hollinger Racing have decided to part ways for the remainder of the season, the team announced on social media Tuesday.
“This has been a team decision to terminate the contract effective immediately,” JHR said in a statement.
The 20-year-old is 12th in Indy NXT standings after seven races, highlighted by a dominating victory in May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. Nannini led all 35 laps from the pole to give JHR their first Indy NXT victory since September 2019.
No replacement driver has been named yet aboard the vacant No. 75 entry as the series heads to Iowa Speedway this weekend. Rasmus Lindh pilots the team’s other entry in the series.
