IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Heads To Michigan

MILAN, Mich. — Scott Palmer, who won the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series season opener, headlines the entry list for round two of the series this weekend at Darana Dragway – Milan.

Palmer earned $50,000 two weeks ago at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, when he defeated Krista Baldwin in the final round.

The veteran Top Fuel racer will take on a Michigan field that includes Mitch King and Lex Joon.

Championship-winning racer Del Worsham headlines a Funny Car field that includes Dale Creasy Jr., Jack Wyatt and Dan Hix.

Frankie “Mad Man” Taylor, who claimed the Pro Mod victory during round one in Ohio, is among those entered in a stellar field at Milan.

Mike DiDomenico, Jason Kalso, David Monday, Randy Adler, Ken Quartuccio, Marcus Butner and Ed Wilson are also among the entrants.

The winners in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Mod, which features a 32-car field, will each earn $50,000.

Jerry Tucker, the Mountain Motor Pro Stock winner at Darana Raceway, leads a field for this weekend’s event that includes Camrie Caruso, John Montecalvo and Jeremy Huffman.

Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alchohol Funny Car, Pro Nitrous and Top Fuel Harley are also among the professional classes in action.

Pro-Am competition begins on Wednesday and continues Thursday, with the pros hitting the track for qualifying on Friday. Eliminations will be held on Saturday.

Watch qualifying live on SPEED SPORT 1 at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, with the finals airing live Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
