We just finished a great book on Lebanon Valley Speedway, one of our regular haunts for decades, and learned a great deal in the process.

The Super DIRTcar Series visited Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N.Y., for the running of the Mr. Dirt Track USA event on Thursday, Aug. 31.
Kenny Tremont Jr. raised his Lebanon Valley Speedway win record to 129 on Saturday night, but it didn’t come easy despite an unusually good starting position.
It took defending DIRTcar modified champion Brett Hearn a few weeks to perfect his new car, but he apparently has it spot on now as he claimed his second consecutive feature at Lebanon Valley Speedway Saturday night.
It was a wet, wild and crazy night at Lebanon Valley Speedway Saturday night, with the Empire Super Sprints feature the only one to go into the record books. And Steve Poirier only had to lead to halfway to win as rain hit yet again during a red flag for a flip by Chuck Hebing.
With the Super DIRTCar Series holding their season opener Saturday night at Fulton Speedway, only appearance points were on the line for the Lebanon Valley Speedway Modifieds, but that didn’t take away from the action at all.
All the fans in the stands got a full view of their cars and stars, as Brett “the Jet” Hearn dominated to take the checkers in the big-block modifieds
