SEALED UNDER PRESSURE: Corey Day Wins 84th Turkey Night Grand Prix

Corey Day may be going full-time NASCAR racing next season, driving for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, but the second-generation racer continues to make his mark on open-wheel racing.

Day, who turned 20 on Friday, won the 84th annual Turkey Night Grand Prix, claiming the legendary USAC midget race for the second consecutive year.

Day traded the lead with Logan Seavey on multiple occasions before grabbing the lead for the final time on lap 75 to lead the final 24 circuits of the fifth-mile Ventura Raceway aboard Willie Kahne’s No. 4k machine.

While Day was kissing the famed Aggie Trophy in victory lane, Cannon McIntosh celebrated his first USAC National Midget Championship.
