Sprint Rankings: Macri & Reutzel Looking Strong

The winged sprint car season gained some steam over the weekend with six features run.

Anthony Macri earned his third triumph of the season on Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway and he leads the country at this point in the campaign.

Macri also leads the Eastern region of the National Sprint Car Rankings. The national rankings will officially open when drivers start to reach the required 20-start mark in a few weeks.

Currently three of the seven regions are open. Aaron Reutzel won Saturday night’s High Limit Racing feature at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas and he paces the Western region. Donny Schatz is on top in the Mid-America region.

Commissioned by Tom Deery and Brian Carter in 2009, the Sprint Car Rankings are administered by longtime racing official Gary Spaid.

Twelve drivers have combined to win the 15 features run so far this season.
