National Sprint Rankings: Macedo To The Lead

There’s a new driver on top of the National Sprint Car Rankings this week.

Carson Macedo has moved to the top of the charts, displacing World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel, who has anchored the rankings for several months.

Macedo and Gravel are two of the drivers, who are dropping their worst finishes since surpassing the 50-start plateau.

Macedo has an average finish of 3.460 in 60 starts, while Gravel is a tick behind with a 3.60 average finish in 59 races.

High Limit Racing point leader Brad Sweet ranks third with a 4.180 average finish in 60 starts.

Tyler Courtney, who won Saturday’s Commonwealth Clash at Lernerville Speedway, and Donny Schatz complete the top five.

One hundred and 59 drivers have reached 20 required starts to be eligible for the national rankings and 834 drivers have run at least one 410 main event this season. 

Anthony Macri leads the Eastern region and Cole Macedo tops the Western region. 

Ayrton Gennetten and Joe B. Miller are tied atop the Mid-America region.

Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes and Mark Dobmeier tops the Great Plains region.

A.J. Flick leads the PA-OH region and Robbie Price is best in the Northwestern stanza.

One hundred and 65 drivers have won the 432 features run this season.

Macri leads the nation with 15 victories each.
