Ian Madsen To Wheel Heidbreder No. 19

LOHMAN, Mo. — Ian Madsen will be returning to sprint car racing full time next season, piloting the Heidbreder Motorsports No. 19 machine.

The team plans to run a schedule of POWRi, High Limit, World of Outlaws and weekly Knoxville Raceway events.

“As we enter our third year on the race track, we couldn’t be more excited about this pairing,” said team owners Ryan and Ashley Heidbrder. “We are honored to welcome a driver of Ian’s caliber to our team. He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience and we believe our program and schedule give us the potential to accomplish some great things together next year.”

The veteran Australian sprint car driver is enthusiastic about the new opportunity.

“I’m honestly having so much fun racing sprint cars right now. This is exactly where I want to be, and every time I strap in, it reminds me how hungry and motivated I am to reach the very top of sprint car racing,” Madsen said. “This opportunity to drive for Ryan and Ashley means a lot to me. They’re incredibly down to earth people who genuinely care about doing things the right way, and that makes you want to give everything you have for them. I’ve been working every day to prepare for this season, both on and off the track, and my goal is simple: put their car in victory lane every night and make them proud.”

Lucas Boland will return as crew chief for the No 19 operation.
