Chase Johnson Classic Belongs To Corey Day

MERCED, Calif. — Starting from the pole, Corey Day won Saturday night’s Chase Johnson Classic 360 sprint car race at Merced Speedway.

The event shared the card with the USAC midgets, with Logan Seavey prevailing in that event.

Day drove the No. 14m sprint car to victory in the 30-lap main event, beating Dominic Scelzi to the checkered flag.

Cole Macedo finished third, with Dominic Gorden and Daison Pursley completing the top five.
