Larson & McIntosh Headline Monday’s Chili Bowl Field

TULSA, Okla. — Three-time and reigning Chili Bowl Nationals winner Kyle Larson headlines a field of 73 cars scheduled to compete on the opening night of the 40th annual event inside the SageNet Center.

Larson will drive the familiar No. 1k midget on 2nd Opinion Auto Qualifying Night at Tulsa Expo Raceway, seeking his fourth overall Chili Bowl victory and what would be his ninth preliminary night victory.

Larson won on Monday night last year, kicking off his run to his third victory in the world’s most famous midget race.

Seeking his first Chili Bowl Nationals triumph, USAC National Midget champion Cannon McIntosh will strap into the No. 71k Keith Kunz Motorsports with Curb-Agajanian entry on Monday night. He’s a three-time preliminary night winner.

Two-time preliminary winner Tanner Karrick will also wheel a KKM entry on Monday night.

High Limit Racing sprint car driver Justin Peck will wheel a Rossi Petty entry, while California sprint car pilot Shane Golobic will be a contender aboard a Matt Wood Racing machine.

World of Outlaws late model ace Nick Hoffman, Chili Bowl veteran Jerry Coons Jr., sprint car racers Joe B. Miller and Briggs Danner and midget vet Jake Andreotti will also be among those to watch.

Seventeen rookies are in Monday night’s field.

Featuring a 23-driver field, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Invitational Race of Champions is also on Monday night’s racing card. Christopher Bell won last year’s Race of Champions.
