Sawalich Is Super At New Smyrna

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — William Sawalich conquered the super late model field in his first appearance in the division at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Sunday at New Smyrna Speedway.

Sawalich took the lead from Jake Finch on lap 20 and led the remainder of the 30-lap event.

Casey Roderick came on strong at the end to finish second, with Gio Ruggiero, Finch and Conner Jones rounding out the top five.

Carson Brown bested Katie Hettinger to win the pro late model main event.

Cody Strickler won the Florida modified feature and Trevor Catalano bested the 602 modified run. Jeffrey White (E-Modifieds) and Charles Zukowski (Bombers) also won main events.
